This movement was born out of a deep concern for the millions of honest borrowers who have been side-lined, vilified, and systemically excluded due to an unfair and opaque credit ecosystem. After witnessing first-hand how unforeseen financial hardships can lead to public shaming, data misuse, and denial of basic rights, our founder, Mr. N. Surya Prakash, decided it was time to act.
With 35+ years of experience as a social entrepreneur and business credit expert, Mr. Surya Prakash has launched this initiative following seven years of intense independent research. Moved by personal experiences and countless stories of borrowers’ pain, he has taken the fight forward by filing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in his individual capacity before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, challenging systemic abuse and advocating for financial justice.
To fight for justice and restore dignity to borrowers who have been neglected, defamed, and denied fair access due to systemic biases in the credit and financial ecosystem.
A just and inclusive financial system where borrowers are treated with empathy and fairness, and where a financial setback is not a life sentence of exclusion.
Our main aim is to expose the abuse, reform the system, and protect the dignity and rights of 1.2 billion citizens being the entire banking populace of this country. We are engaged in legal advocacy, public awareness, policy dialogue, and support programs for affected borrowers.
We are a movement of concerned citizens, legal activists, and financial reform advocates committed to ensuring justice for those neglected by a rigged system. Our team comprises:
Our collective mission is to restore fairness, bring systemic reform, and ensure every borrower’s right to dignity and access in the financial ecosystem.

Your financial data is yours; not a tool for surveillance or commercial exploitation

Stop notices, posters, and societal harassment

Accuracy, fairness, transparency

Bring borrowers back into the financial system

Challenge unconstitutional practices through courts

We believe no borrower should be defined by a temporary setback. Justice for Credit Borrowers exists to replace punishment with protection, exclusion with inclusion, and silence with a platform.

We pursue legal reform and public interest litigation to ensure borrower rights

We share real-life stories and expose systemic bias to shift public perception

We conduct educational sessions, publish research, and offer guidance to borrowers

We work to influence policies, legal frameworks, and institutional practices

We confront powerful institutions with evidence, reason, and resolve

We keep the public informed and engaged

We provide practical knowledge and tools to reclaim your financial dignity

Our work continues until every borrower is treated fairly
Justice for Credit Borrowers is a powerful citizens’ initiative launched by the Surya Shakthi Foundation, a NGO registered as a Non-Profit organization under the Section 8 of the Companies Act 2013 and committed to social justice, financial inclusion, and human dignity.
